Port Blair, Jun 12: On 07/06/2017, working on a tip off, local police party headed by SI. Madhab Halder, SHO, P.S. Bambooflat stopped one Maruti Echo vehicle bearing registration No. AN-01-G-2759 at Medical Pahar, Bamboo Flat and during checking of the vehicle, recovered 102 bottles of 750 ml company sealed IMFL bottles make CLASSIC WHISKY having mark of “FOR DEFENCE SERVICES ONLY”. In this connection, three persons namely (1) R. Ruban Raj (30) yrs R/o Prem Nagar near Kali Mandir presently residing at Dollygunj (2) M. Palaniswamy (49) yrs Tea Shopkeeper R/o Valluar Nagar (3) N. Durai Swamy (38) yrs R/o School Line the driver of vehicle were arrested by registering a case vide Crime No.55/17 dated 07/06/2017 U/s 32 Reg. III of 1876 has at Police Station Bambooflat.
