Kalighat, June 08: A Police Constable, Suman Chander Das of Kalighat Police Station reportedly attempted suicide by hanging himself today. As per reports, the Police Constable was the Follower Cook in the Kalighat Police Station.
As per the sources, the Follower Cook today drunk with one of his friend and after that he also cooked Egg Curry. Sources further said that when the friend of the Follower Cook was returning the Cook attempted Suicide but as the friend watched him committing suicide he rushed towards the Follower Cook in no time and saved him. He later took him to the Kalighat Hospital from where he was later referred to CHC Diglipur.
It is learnt that the Police is trying to investigate the reason behind the Constable taking such extreme step but as the condition of the Follower Cook is yet not stable the Police couldn’t take his statement today. Further details are awaited.
