Port Blair, May 29: Like every year, the directorate of health Services will observe “World No Tobacco Day “ on 31 May 2017 in Andaman & Nicobar Islands along with the rest of the country with the theme “tobacco – a threat to development”.
To mark the day various IEC activities will be organized on 31st may, 2017 by all the Health Institutions of A & N Islands including State Health Education Bureau of Directorate of Health Services, A & N Administration to create awareness among the general public about the ill effects of consumption of tobacco products. The state Level function will be organized at Auditorium of Industrial Training Institute (ITI), Dolly Gunj, and Port Blair on 31st May, 2017 at 10.30 AM involving faculties, students, Paramedical staff and General Public. Dr. S.K.Kathpalia, Director I/c, ANIIMS will be the Chief Guest on occasion.
