Port Blair, May 19: As a part of the ongoing surprise inspections carried out by the team of Food Safety Officials from the District Food Safety Office on 17/05/2017 at Haddo Area, several shops were inspected and discrepancies were noted. Legal actions as per the Act, is being initiated against the defaulters which includes 02 restaurants and 01 petty shop which were found to be in very unhygienic condition. All the vegetable vendors of the area have been advised to get the Food License/ Registration from the District Food Safety Office, South Andaman.
All the general public is hereby requested to pass on contraventions found if any on Food Safety to the Commissioner of Food Safety, A&N Islands at No.03192-231024/9434280018 or on District Control Room No.1070 for strict actions against violators.
