Port Blair, May 11: A Social Activist of Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Sampa Banerjee is nowadays providing free coaching to the Special and Needy children in her office situated at Junglighat, near Radha Krishna Temple.
In a letter addressed to Andaman Sheekha, Mrs Sampa Banerjee said that she has learnt from her daughter that many students in her class could not identify the alphabets that look similar as well as they cannot even read any word properly.
“This is a very big concern for our society and children from the islands are the future of our islands, without proper guidance they can’t compete with the children from different states,” Mrs Sampa said.
