Diglipur26 Apr: “Saddle Peak Green Eco-club” of Govt. Sr. Sec. School, Diglipur,North Andaman organized an environment relatedactivities to develop and enhance the moral of the students on the
occasion of “WorldEarthy Day” celebration on 22nd April 2017.It was a great day to showcase environment education, highlightedefforts to green the School and engage the whole student Community inmaking a difference.
A special morning assembly was organized and Shri. S. Gurumoorthy, Vice-Principal of GSSS, Diglipur on this occasion said that the world Earth Day is celebrated with an aim to sensitize every human being towards their role in addressing global environmental challenges and advocated to preserve our Earth because we have only one home to survive. He also focused on “Each one– Plant one” for every students. He also felicitated the Annualexamination toppers of Class IX & XI with the Sapling of Neem Tree to spread the awareness for “caring mother Earth”. Mr.Chanchal Singh Roy, GTT and Eco-Club incharge said.” Together wecan make every day an earth day. Which encourage us to reflecton what we are doing to make our planet a more sustainable and liveable place. A Collage was prepared by the students of Eco-Club with used and waste papers. At the end of the programme, prizes was distributed by the Principal to all poster and collage makers.
