Port Blair, Apr 21: Jan Kranti Party Andaman & Nicobar hold a public meeting at Tiranga Park on 20th April 2017. Prominent Speakers of JKP the President Shri K Venkat and Vice Presidents Shri Viswakarma and Colonel (Retd) K V Cherian , Treasurer Shri ShawanMehra as well as the JDU State President Shri Sajan voiced their demands which included the introduction of Inner Line Permit System, Providing employment opportunity to the local youths, Permanent Absorption of DRLs in various Departments of A&N Administration in their jobs , granting of higher scale of Daily wages at par with Central Govt Wage structure, Giving ST/OBC status to the backward Ranchi Community as well as same category of Classification for all Island Born Youths as the same as any other Local born Community, Formation of State Cadre for the Government Employees, Setting up of Border Security Force to take care of the Border Islands, Formation of Separate Fire Safety and Rescue Force, Deployment of National Disaster Management Force as well as various schemes as available in mainland for Central Government employees.
Arguing that all other parties in A&N Islands are trying to get their share of benefits through the Administrator to follow their demands because they prepared their election manifesto when they had no right to do so as they are not in the channel of administration due to lack of Local Assembly. Therefore, the JKP Demanded institution of local State / UT Assembly / Pradesh Council as the immediate step towards the democratic process of clean Administration, Instead some political parties are trying to woo the vote bank telling the public that the Administrator is from their party and he will follow what is advised by them. JKP announced that they have been registered as State Party by the Election commission of India and will certainly challenge the age old traditional National parties who look towards Delhi for decisions.
