Port Blair, April 21: Students of Andaman College today gathered in front of Raj Niwas at around 12:00pm demanding extension of tenure of the Present Principal of the College, Dr R Devdas.
More than 70-80 students of different streams reached infront of Raj Niwas to highlight their demands in front of the Lt Governor.
However, after the matter reached to the Police Station a team of Aberdeen Police Station immediately reached the spot and asked the student to gather infornt of Raj Niwas after following required procedures, to meet the Lt Governor.
As per reports, when the delegation of students couldn’t meet the Lt Governor they went to the MP Office to raise their demands in front of the MP.
As the MP was not available the delegation later went to meet the President, Congress Party where finally they got some assurances, it is learnt.
It is learnt that the Students delegation of ANCOL will be holding a meeting soon to plan their next step to press their demand.
