Port Blair, April 13: As a low pressure system has been formed in the adjoining region of Andaman Sea and South East Bay of Bengal the Andaman & Nicobar Islands may witness heavy rainfall for the next coming three days.
Talking to Andaman Sheekha, Mr S Bandyopadhyay, Scientist B, Indian Meteorological Department said that there are possibilities that the low pressure can gradually intensify and by tomorrow morning it is expected to become a low pressure area and by 16th of this month it is expected to become a depression.
He said that therefore it will be stronger after more time and there are possibilities of heavy Rainfall on 14, 15, 16 around Andaman Nicobar Islands till now there is no forecast of Cyclone. Mr Bandyopadhyay added.
