Port Blair, April 10: Short Circuit caused fire at a shop situated at Bhathubasthi near Geetanjali Automobiles yesterday night at around 01:00am. However no one suffered any injuries in the incident.
As per reports, at around 12:30pm the Security Guard of Bhathubasthi State Bank ATM saw smoke coming out from a stationary shop following which he immediately informed the Fire Brigade.
On information the owner of the Building reportedly informed the shop owner. It is learnt the Team of Fire Brigade reached the spot in no time and controlled the fire within 15 minutes.
The Shop Owner suffered a loss of more than 3 lakhs, it is learnt.
