Port Blair, April 09: A 49 year old man namely Mr R Kannan attacked his friend namely Mr V Suresh, 29 years yesterday morning at Phoneix Bay Jetty, after an argument of rate of fish.
As per reports, in the attack with a machete the accused chopped off one ear of his friend. Sources said that both were under influence of alcohol when the incident happened.
On information a team of Aberdeen Police Station reached the spot and took both the accused and victim to the nearby GB Pant Hospital.
It is learnt that the accused has been arrested by the Aberdeen Police Station. Further details in this case are still awaited.
