Port Blair, April 02: A man namely Birendra Nath Bala, 47 years a resident of Dollygunj and a labor at Hindustan Traders died on the spot after he came under the truck tyre of Army Truck Shaktimaan at School Line in front of Abu Shop yesterday afternoon.
As per sources, Bike Rider, Birendra Nath Bala who died at the spot was talking over phone and was overtaking the Army Truck Shaktimaan when unfortunately he came under the backside tyre of the Truck.
It is learnt that while overtaking the Army Truck the rider lost his balance and came under the truck. It is also learnt that the driver of the truck was arrested by the Aberdeen Police Station and was later released on bail. Further details are still awaited.
