Port Blair, March 27: The Prince Honda Showroom of Andaman & Nicobar Islands has launched its new crossover vehicle Honda WR-V in Port Blair this Saturday. The Labour Commissioner and Director, Employment and Training, Mr Madhusudan Baidya unveiled Honda India’s latest launch in the presence of the Managing Director, Prince Honda, Mr Sagar Khurana and other invited guests.
Indian arm of the Japanese car maker is the first global market to get the WR-V and will be sold only in two variants. Honda Cars is offering the car only on S and VX variants on both petrol and diesel engines.
Talking to Andaman Sheekha the MD of Prince Honda, Mr Khurana said that the Honda WR-V stands for ‘Winsome Runabout Vehicle’ and is the first development model by Honda Cars India R&D team. He further said that the design and features of the crossover vehicle were developed with the help of Honda Japan’s R&D team to maintain the uniformity of the product when launched in other markets. Right hand drive car and tuning to the requirements of Indian market was done at Honda’s R&D centre in Greater Noida.
Mr Khurana added that the vehicle is ideally suited for the Andaman & Nicobar Islands. He said that the interiors as well as the safety equipments are the best in Honda WR-V. The mileage of the Vehicle is around 18 km in Petrol and in diesel the mileage is around 26 km which is the best compared to other competitors. Mr Khurana said.
Mr Khurana finally invited the islanders to come and visit the Honda Showroom and to try a test drive of the vehicle.
