Diglipur, Mar25: Special session on “Technological Exposition and Demonstration of Livelihood Options in Agricultural and Allied Fields” was conducted today at Kalipur village at Diglipur under the Chairmanship of Dr.S. Dam Roy, Director, ICAR-CIARI, Port Blair, Drs. S.K.Zamir Ahmed, B.L. Kashinath, A.K. Singh, Shailaesh Kumar, B.L. Meena, Manoj Kumar, V.K.Pandey, Siba Mahato, Saw Markus , Shri Hemant B. Songadkar, GM & OIC, NABARD, Port Blair were the guest of honour.
Earlier Dr S K Zamir Ahmed Principal Scientist & Coordinator ORC welcomed the guests briefed about the programme. Dr. B L Kashinath Head KVL, Nimbudera, spoke on KVKs role for enhancing income of farmers, Dr. A K Singh Senior Scientist, CIARI spoke on Impression on International year of pulses. In the morning the Guests made a field visit to the farmers field at Diglipur.
Mr. Hemant B. Songadkar, GM & OIC, NABARD, Port Blair deliberated on the support of the NABARD on the programme on technological Exposition and Demonstration and also capacity the building programme. He also spoke on the technology transfer programme of CIARI which are supported by NABARD.
Pradhan Keralapuram Mr. Shankar Das and Pradhan Shivpur Mr. Gauntam Biswas expressed their views on this occasion. At the end Farmers inputs were distributed by the Chief Guest and Guest of Honors. Dr. Shailesh Kumar, SMS summed up the issued flagged and proposed vote of thanks.
