Port Blair, Mar 26: A five days Community Living Camp 2016-17 for the trainees of First Year B. Ed and Final Year U.G. Ed. Of Tagore Govt. College of Education was inaugurated on 25/03/2017 in the premises of TGCE by Shri B. Eshwar Rao, Chairperson, PBMC in the presence of Shri Sharda Ram, Retd Secretary (Scouts and Guides).
On this occasion, the Chief Guest hoisted the camp flag and administered oath to all the participants. In his inaugural address Shri. B. Eshwar Rao congratulated all the participants and advised the trainees to take full benefit of the opportunities that will be provided during the camp. Earlier Dr. J D Singh Principal of the college welcomed the Chief Guest and other participants. A trainee of the camp proposed vote of thanks.
The first day’s activity started with yoga and physical exercise. In the morning session the Trainees were taken to SURABHI-DISHA, an NGO at Caddlegunj, under Ferrar Gunj tehsil to provide exposure and first-hand experience on self-employment and vocational skill development besides lecture-cum-demonstration session at DON BOSCO MULTIPURPOSE HALL. In the evening session resources persons from ANIIMS and PBMC delivered lecture-cum-demonstration on Health Hygiene and waste management at TGCE auditorium. At the close of the day’s schedule, cultural programme was also presented by the trainees.
