Campbell Bay, March 24: The State Vice President of Bharatiya Janta Party and resident of Campbell Bay, Mr Sanjay Singh has requested the Chief Secretary, Andaman Nicobar Administration to fix a ship schedule of Nicobar District in such a way that the students of Nicobar Group of Islands may attend the Joint Entrance Examination conducted by the CBSE on 2nd April, 2017.
In a letter addressed to the Chief Secretary, Mr Sanjay Singh stated that CBSE has declared 2nd April, 2017 as the date for Joint Entrance Examination for which several engineering aspirants from Nicobar Group of Islands have applied.
Mr Sanjay said that these students are having their CBSE class 12th examinations of chemistry on 25th of March, 2017 and the Biology examinations is on 05th of April, 2017. Mr Sanjay Singh further stated that the JEE examination falls in between the date of CBSE board examinations i.e. between Chemistry and Biology.
“It is well known facts that JEE are must for getting admissions in reputed Engineering Colleges all over India and also to avail the engineering seats from the Administration Quota and thus the students from these far flung islands of the Nicobar District cannot afford to miss out the JEE test,” Mr Sanjay added.
Therefore, Mr Sanjay finally requested the CS to kindly arrange a ship for the students of Nicobar District which would leave Campbell Bay Port after the CBSE Chemistry Examination on 25th of March and reach at Port Blair at least one day prior to the JEE examinations on 2nd of April, 2017. Further a return ship from Port Blair to reach their respective stations at least one day prior to attend the CBSE Biology examination, which is to be held on 5th of April, 2017.
