Port Blair, March 23: In order to decongest the entire Bhathubasti stretch, a team of Traffic Police Unit under the leadership of Sub-Inspector Debnath today chalked out a number of plans and maintained the entire Bhathubasthi stretch free from Traffic congesion. The effort of the Traffic Police Unit was highly appreciated by the daily road users.
The first bottleneck of NH4 is the Bhathubasthi stretch, where major congestion occurs due to pedestrian as well as vehicular traffic. The Traffic Police Team first cleared the road side parking in the entire Bhathubasthi stretch and monitored the whole situation.
The team also took strict actions against the traffic rule violators and also the plan of one side parking at Bhathubasthi was the major part due to which the overall traffic in the Bhathubasthi area was under total control.
The team also monitored that all bus should stop only at the Bus Stand and also didn’t allowed any bus to wait in the bus stand to pick up passengers.
The various steps taken by the Traffic Police Unit today was very effective and People now demand the Traffic Police Unit to maintain the Bhathubasthi Junction stretch same like today in the coming future.
People also demand the Traffic Police Unit to chalk out some more plans to ease out the traffic at the Junglighat stretch which is prone to traffic jam.
