Port Blair, Mar 19: The All India Seminar on “Energy Efficiency in HVAC & R Industries” is being organized by Jharkhand State Centre of The Institution of Engineers (India) under the aegis of Mechanical Engineering Division Board during March 25-26, 2017 at Engineer Bhawan, Ranchi in association with Indian Society for Heating, Refrigerating & Air Conditioning Engineers (ISHRAE), Ranchi Chapter, which is an International Associate of American Society for Heating, Refrigerating & Air Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE).
ISHRAE was established in the year 1981 at New Delhi as a society of HVAC & R professionals and today comprises chapters in most of the major Indian cities and a few abroad with over 10,000 members. The society disseminate technical knowledge for advancing the art & science of air conditioning, ventilation and refrigeration. ISHRAE is actively involved in formulating standards for Indian Industry along with BEE, IGBC, BIS, etc. at National level. ISHRAE has many technical publications to its credit. ISHRAE also conducts specialized training programmes for the technical personnel working in the HVAC & R industry at its Institutes of Excellence at Bangalore and Delhi.
The proposed seminar cum exhibition will cover different aspects of present and future developments and the latest emerging technologies and to provide an excellent opportunity and a common platform for mutual sharing of knowledge, expertise & experience amongst all the stake holders i.e. Designers & Suppliers, Academicians, Researchers, Engineers, Consultants, Architects, Students and Builders associated with the long term improvements in the energy efficiency of HVAC & R systems.
The seminar will primarily consist of an inaugural session, technical sessions and valedictory session. Some of the fields to be addressed in the two day seminar are Energy Efficient HVAC & R Systems, Challenges for HVAC & R Industries, Use of alternative energy sources for HVAC & R Processes,• Automation benefits in Industrial AC systems for Optimisation, Field experiences/Case Studies.
