Port Blair, Mar 14: The final match of YCOB Unity Cup Volleyball Championship – 2016, season-IV concluded in a befitting manner in the forest ground, Ograbraj. The final match between YFC Haddo and TA Bihar was witnessed by the Chief Guest Mr. Udit Prakash Rai, IAS, Deputy Commissioner, South Andaman, while Mr. S.K. Thomas, IFS, DFO South Andaman and Mr. Dharvinder, President, NUSI were the guest of honors on the occasion. While addressing the gathering the chief guest lauded the efforts of Youth Club Ograbraj for organizing such a big event in the rural area and expressed his desire to support any sports events in the future as well as accept the various demand made by the club.
Guest of Honour Sh. S.K. Thomas, (IFS) Divisional Forest Officer, South Andaman in his address he also lauded the remarkable rise of Youth Club and promised to provide labour club to Gram Panchayat for office space to youth club and other community welfare activity latest by 01st June 2017.
The team of TA Bihar won the final match in a straight three sets by 25-21, 25-17 and 25-15. The game was thoroughly enjoyed by chief guest and the jam-packed sports lovers in Forest ground Ograbraj. Apart from the winners and runners trophies, both the teams were presented with attractive cash prizes.
