Port Blair, Mar 10: The Institution of Engineers (India) (IEI), Andaman & Nicobar State Centre (ANSC) organised a Technical Lecture on “Advanced Equipment for Testing Soil, Cement, Concrete & Bitumen” on Friday, 10 March, 2017 at 3 pm at ALHW Conference Hall.
Er. S. Soundarapandian, Dy. Manager-CSG, AIMIL Ltd., Chennai delivered the lecture which was attended by a large number of Engineers from different technical departments of Govt., Private organisations, Members of The Institution of Engineers (India), State Centre etc. During the Technical Talk he dwelt on Civil Engineering Instrumentation which included Soil, Cement, Concrete & Bitumen testing equipment. After the Technical Lecture the Engineers raised questions in the Interactive session which pertained to Online Automatic Compression Testing Machine, Digital Consolidation Test machine, Pavement Core Drilling machine, Skid Resistance Meter etc. which was discussed at length.
Earlier at the outset the Chairman of the State Centre, Er. D. Sathyamoorthy, FIE, DCE (Mech.), ALHW welcomed the Guest Speaker & the gathering while Honorary Secretary of the State Centre, Er. Johnson Abraham,MIE, Consultant gave a brief about the Guest Speaker & proposed the Vote of Thanks.
