Port Blair, Mar 08: The Pradhan, Gram Panchayat Namunaghar, Smt. Preetima Kumari Tirkey, on the occasion of International Women’s day today, had honoured five women householders of Namunaghar Gram Panchayat, who have successfully completed construction of Individual Household Latrines under Swachch Bharat Mission (Gramin), by properly utilizing the incentives given by the Administration. The Pradhan honoured them in kind as token of appreciation for their keen interest towards cleanliness and in making their houses to have latrines. She also urged all villagers to follow suit and construct latrines under the scheme in every house to make the villages open defecation free.
