Diglipur, Mar 07: Sudden load shedding at Diglipur region, without any notice today caused hardship to the student community, many of whom are about to face final exam.
The load shedding was exercised in whole Diglipur Sub Division since morning 5 am and it continued till evening 3pm.
In most of the schools in Diglipur region, final exams started from yesterday and in VKZPV and other schools final exams are starting from tomorrow.
Diglipur region was thought to be load shedding free zone, so the people and students were not prepared for the unscheduled power cuts.
Parents alleged that for students it is difficult to focus on answers if there is no power and they are sweating profusely.
When Andaman Sheekha contacted the EE Electricity Shri M G Harshe he said that “One week ago the electricity department informed the Asst Commissioner, Superintendent of Police and Doordarshan about the power cut for Line Clearance. We will try our best to minimize problems of public.”
The public and shopkeepers of Diglipur are now demanding to install a information board at Diglipur bazaar for informing regarding power cuts, so that not only the administration but public also come to know about sudden power cuts.
