Port Blair, Feb 20: Shri Udit Prakash Rai (IAS), Secretary (RD, PRIs & ULBs), A & N Admin./ Deputy Commissioner, South Andaman District, in presence of Shri Nagendra S. Pati Tripathi, Additional District Magistrate, South Andaman District & Shri Arun Kumar Jha, Assistant commissioner (TW), A & N Admin. & participation player/audience has declared open “SI. K.P. Abdul Gafoor Memorial District Level Volleyball Championship”, on 19th February 2017 at Volleyball Court, G. S. S. S. Mannarghat.
The event was organized by Pradhan Gram Panchayat Mannarghat in association with Andaman and Nicobar State Olympic Association, altogether 12 Nos. teams have registered to participate on the tournament and the first match will play in between the teams “TA vs. YFC” on the day and team TA win it. The final of the championship will be played on 26/02/2017.
Thanking the dignitaries, Mr. O. Bashir expressed his deep gratitude to the dignitaries for sparing their valuable time for encourage sports on the rural areas.
