Port Blair, Feb 09: Ensuring zero tolerance against illegal activity, Police team of PS Chatham headed by SI Abdul Rehman, SHO, PS, Chatham, while on patrolling at Sea Shore area, near Graveyard on 08.02.2017, apprehended 09 persons namely (1) P. Suresh (25 yrs) R/o Phoenix Bay, (2) Kumar (28) yrs R/o Phoenix Bay, (3) B. Venkat (40) yrs R/o Phoenix Bay, (4) N. Appa Rao (41) yrs R/o Anarkali, (5) N. Srinivas (25) yrs R/o Anarkali, (6) B. Eshawar Rao (32) yrs R/o Phongy Chuang (7) D. Param (34) yrs R/o Anarkali (8) D. Ramana (45 yrs) R/o Anakali and (9) K. Naidu (23) yrs R/o Anarkali and recovered Rs. 5060/- including board money Rs. 4210/- and other incriminating articles from the possession of accused persons. All the accused were booked under A&N Islands Gambling Regulation, 1951.
