Port Bair, Feb 05: Recently Island Development Organization members visited this schools and found many defects need administration`s attention. After the inspection a team headed by Mr. BK Chauhan, Secretary General, IDO, A&N Islands, along with Mr. S. Xavier, District President, IDO, SA, Mr. Arockia Raj, District General Secretary, IDO,SA met Chief Secretary and explained the worst condition of the schools, he assured to visit the positively and take appropriate action.
On 4th February Mr. Anindo Majumder, Chief Secretary, A&N Islands and Mr. Udit Prakash Rai, Deputy Commissioner, South Andaman District inspected Govt. Secondary School, Namunaghar and Govt. Secondary School, Manpur upon request by Island Development Organization, a NGO working in this islands since the year 2001.
During the visit, Chief Secretary, along with Deputy Commissioner inspected the school upon the effort made by Mr. Arockia Raj, District General Secretary, Island Development Organization and interacted with school management, Parents, PRI members, General Public who shared their views on which Chief Secretary directed the concerned department to initiate necessary action.
Chief Secretary, strictly instructed the both school management to immediately take steps to clean the fan, ceiling of the school and garbage in the campus of the school. He also directed Assistant Engineer, APWD to renovate Govt. Secondary School, Namunaghar and Construct drainage around Govt. Primary School, Ranchi Basthi, Namunaghar, also construction of compound wall around Govt. Secondary School, Manpur.
Chief Secretary and Deputy Commissioner, SA, inquired about both school performance status. During which Mr. Udit Prakash Rai, Deputy Commissioner, SA, shared his study experiences in Uttar Pradesh in poor condition and Mr. Anindo Majumder, Chief Secretary, A&N Islands, directed Deputy Director Education to take necessary steps to improve school performances to secure 100% results in upcoming examination. They also examined Anganwadi center at Manpur.
Mr. BK Chauhan, Secretary General, IDO,ANI, Mr. Selvam, Joint Secretary, IDO, ANI, Mr. S. Xavier, District President,IDO, SA, Mr. Arockia Raj, District General Secretary, IDO,SA, appraised the efforts of Mr. Anindo Majumder, Chief Secretary and Mr. Udit Prakash Rai, Deputy Commissioner, South Andaman District, for the development of Andaman Islands in all sectors day and night. And Island Development Organization also appeals the Hon`ble Administrators to extends his supports to this IAS officers for all over development of this islands. Because after a long term of period Islanders had found such an sincere officers dedicated them self day and night for the welfare of this islands.
