Port Blair, Jan 30: Chaucer Literature Club (English Department) of Andaman College celebrated its first annual function on 28th January, Saturday. Dr. R. Dev Das, principal of Andaman College inaugurated the function. Dr. C. Pushpavalli, HOD welcomed the gathering and said that ANCOL is an institution which has been famed to always take the road less travelled.
During the presidential address, the chief guest of the day Dr. R. Dev Das appreciated the club activities and said that ‘Be a go-getter and make the life meaningful’. PINNACLE, the yearly magazine of the club was released during the function. Samina Moosa .K, third year and Roshini, second year were felicitated for Securing highest marks in the university exam from English Department. A skit based on the theme ‘Make in India’ was staged during the function. Vibrant and colourful programmes by students were also the part of the function. Ms.Sonia James, Guest Faculty proposed vote of thanks. The programme culminated with the National Anthem.
