On this 68th Republic Day, I extend my heartiest greetings to the people of Andaman and Nicobar Islands and wish you all peace, prosperity and progress.
On this day, in 1950, India became a Socialist, Secular, Sovereign and Democratic Republic, guided by the principles of justice, liberty and equality. Our Constitution resolves to provide Justice, Liberty, Fraternity and Equality of status, assuring the dignity of the individual and unity and integrity of the Nation.
On this occasion, let us pledge to live upto the ideals enshrined in our Constitution and show a sense of unity and purpose to take our great Nation forward.
