Neil, Jan 13: Golden Jubilee celebration of Govt Sr. Sec. School Neil Island was flag off by Shri. Bishnu Pada Roy, Member of Parliament at 6:30 am today which was followed by patriotic songs, nukkad natak and cleanliness program at Bharatpur beach. In this connection health camp and blood donation camp were conducted by ex-students of GSSS Neil. Dr. Tapan Biswas, Dr. Narayan Das and Dr. Sreekrishna Das attended hundreds of patients and gave medical counsel to old age people. Smti. Tanvi Garg, IAS, Secretary Education inaugurated the function at school premises as chief guest. She appreciated the students and alumni of golden jubilee to conduct such type of unique program. Former teachers were felicitated by Smti. Tanvi Garg by mementos. Principal Shri. Jacob Kutty welcomed the gathering and addressed by Alumni President Dr. Swapan Kumar Biswas on the occasion.
