Port Blair, Dec 21: The District Level Task Force Committee (DLTFC) pertains to District Industries Centre, Department of Industries on Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP) was held today under the Chairmanship of Ms. Mitali Goel, ADM (SA), Port Blair.
Altogether, 25 loan applications under the scheme were placed before the DLTFC out of which the 19 applicants duly involving on various activities like Beauty Parlour, Restaurant cum Dhaba, Plying of Tourist Vehicles, Homeopathy Clinic, General Store, Xerox-Lamination-Job Work, Plying of Auto Rickshaw etc. involving projects cost to the tune Rs.7327609/- and margin money subsidy Rs.1741216/-
All these 19 loan applications under the scheme will be forwarded to the concerned implementing Nationalized Banks & ANSCB of the UT through Lead Bank office, SBI, Port Blair for financial assistance.
The beneficiaries’ contribution in the project cost are 10% for the General category and 5% for the special category including ST, OBC, Women, Ex-servicemen, Physically handicapped etc. The rates of subsidy of the project cost are 15% for the general category and 25% for the special category in Urban area. Whereas, 25% for the general category and 35% for the special category in Rural area.
The maximum cost of the project/unit admissible under manufacturing sectors is Rs. 25 lakh, Service sector is Rs.10 lakh and under business/trading sector is 3 lakhs. Implementing Branches of the Projects are all the Nationalized Banks & ANSCB of the UT.
Further, all the prospective entrepreneurs who intend to set up self employment ventures under manufacturing, Service & Business sector duly availing finance under the PMEGP scheme may file and submit their applications online directly through website –www. kviconline.gov.in and submit the hard copy to DIC for placing before the DLTFC for consideration.
