Port Blair, Dec 15: Cyclone ‘Vardah’ battered through various parts of Andaman & Nicobar Islands recently bringing strong winds and heavy rain causing landslides, uprooting of trees, which blocked Andaman Trunk Road for sometimes.
But because of Exceptional team work by APWD’s Baratang unit, Police and other departments like forest, the ATR was opened on the same day evening.
The Zilla Parishad Member of Baratang, Mr. Alagar Swami has meanwhile lauded the efforts of APWD, Police and other Departments for such exemplary work. He said that only because of the hard works of these officials and other staffs Andaman Trunk Road remained operational even during the Cyclone.
