Port Blair, Dec 06: Towards commemorating Navy Week 2016, the Indian Navy is extending a warm welcome to the citizens of Port Blair to visit the latest indigenous Missile Corvette of the Indian Navy, INS Karmuk, based at Port Blair. The Ship will be open for visitors on 07 & 08 Dec 16 from 10 AM to 03 PM at Haddo Jetty.
During the visit, the ship will show-case India’s technological advancement in field of electronics, sensors and ship building. The ship is equipped with an impressive arsenal, which includes 16 ‘URAN’ Surface-to-Surface Missiles, 76 mm Medium Range Gun, 30mm Close-in Weapon System, advanced surveillance sensors, Fire Control Radars and Electronic Warfare Systems.
Visitors would need to carry proper photo identification like Aadhar card, driving licence, voter card etc for security reasons.
