Port Blair, Nov 24: Its gala celebration time for crew members of M V Kalighat as the ship has completed nearly one year, berthing at Haddo Jetty.
According to reports the ship had developed faults in Air Conditioning system long back and for the repair of same the ship was berthed at Haddo Jetty, and now it has successfully completed more than one year.
As per reports, last time the ship had sailed for Nicobar Group of Islands on 24 December 2015 but it came back after there were some serious faults in engine.
As per highly placed sources some spare parts, required for the AC repair, have already reached Port Blair and the ship might sail for Kolkata soon for fitting.
However, the Director and Deputy Director of DSS were unavailable over phone to comment on this issue.
