
Port Blair, Nov 21: The Deputy Commissioner , South Andaman Shri Udit Prakash Rai, IAS handed over an e-certificate to a citizen today 21.11.16 from the e-corner on the occasion of the District Administration achieved the online transaction of 10,000 e-certificate (Online e forms) successfully within a short period. On the occasion the Assistant Commissioner (SA), Assistant Commissioner Settlement, Assistant Commissioner (HQ) and OSD (IT) were present. In an attempt to simplify Governance and improve the delivery of services to citizens of these Islands, the District Administration, South Andaman has successfully issued 10,000 e-Certificates under the project State Portal & State Services Delivery Gateway (SP&SSDG). The State Portal, SSDG & e-forms is a project formulated under the National e- Governance Plan (NeGP) to fulfill the vision of providing Government services to the citizens in an easy and convenient manner through remote access through computer network.
There are thirteen e-forms already been introduced by this District Administration , South Andaman remaining other services will also be added in Online mode shortly. The thirteen services transaction is through online only since last one year. Besides these all land records has been Digitalized and the (ROR) issuing from the Common Service Centre and e-corner in digitalized form only. The digitalization of sketch Map is under consideration, the 50% of sketch map has been digitalized remaining task will be completed in the fixed timeline. Through this road map the District Administration ensure to achieve the project of “DIGITAL INDIA”.
