Port Blair, Nov 20: On the occasion of the 99th Birth Anniversary of the first female Prime minster of India a function was organized at Gandhi Bhavan on 19.11.2016. The PCC President Shri Kuldeep Rai Sharma has garlanded the portrait of Late Indira Gandhi followed by floral tributes by all party leaders, supporters and general public gathered in the function. In his brief speech Shri Kuldeep has narrated Indiraji’s contributions to the nation and said that Smti Indira Priyadarshini, popularly known as ‘Iron Lady’ and recipient of Bharat Ratna, the highest civilian award of India, Jewarharlal Nehru award for international understanding and Lenin Peace Prize was a great patriot and she sacrificed her life for the nation.
