Port Blair, Nov 16: A dead body of 20 year old Jarawa youth was found this morning at Tirur Number 4 area. It is learnt that police suspect that the Jarawa youth was attacked by a Crocodile.
As per reports, the Jarawa youth was missing since last few days but as per sources some other Jarawa youths yesterday night had seen a Crocodile attacking the Jarawa Youth, which they reported to the Tribal Welfare Officers, Police and Forest Officials today while they were on a routine visit.
As soon as the matter was reported to the team they immediately launched search operation of the Jarawa youth and within half an hour the mutilated body of the Jarawa Youth was found floating on the sea.
The Post Mortem of the dead body was carried out later and as per sources the injury marks on the body of the Jawara youths indicate a crocodile attack. Further details are awaited.
