Port Blair, Nov 15: A 3 day book fair from 15 -17 Nov.2016 to observe “National Book Week” has been organized by the Zonal Library Rangat.
Shri Rajesh Choudhary Assistant Commissioner Rangat was the Chief Guest at the inaugural function today.
In his address he asked the people to take benefit from the zonal Library and to create awareness among people to develop reading habits. He also distributed the prizes and certificate to the winners of Painting/Poster & Book cover design competition organized on11th Nov.2016 at Zonal Library Rangat for sub Junior,Junior and senior groups students.
Earlier Mr.Susen Mallick,Deputy Education officer welcomed the Chief guest and other dignitaries present and assured to provide reading materials for promoting reading habit among the students and general public.M/s Salma book store,Rangat is also taking part in this book fair and displayed books for sale cum-Exhibition.
Mr.Anutosh Roy,Incharge zonal Library,Rangat briefed the aim and objectives of organizing such book Fair.
