Port Blair, Nov 11: In continuation of the process to set a paradigm towards ‘zero tolerance on encroachment of Govt. land’ and to restore valuable Govt. land under Port Blair Tehsil, the Encroachment Eviction Team of Revenue Department had taken up a two-day Eviction Drive to Remove illegal occupation and Constructions on Govt. land in Port Blair Tehsil.
The on-field Eviction Team lead by Tehsildar, Port Blair, respective Revenue Inspectors, area Patwaries and other Team Members had taken up a two day eviction drive evicting two nos. of Petty Shops at Nayagaon village, three Nos. of RCC Houses at Dollygunj village and Concrete parts of a Resort at Rangachang village under Port Blair Tehsil.
Furthermore, the general public is hereby cautioned not to indulge in any illegal activities regarding Encroachment over Govt. land and refrain from any kind of transaction in respect of Govt. land, or else action as deemed fit, will be initiated under appropriate sections of A&N LR & LRR 1966 & 68, Cr.PC and IPC. The general public is requested to inform the District Control Room on toll free no.1070 regarding any activity of fresh encroachments so that prompt legal action can be initiated.
