Port Blair, Nov 07: In continuation to this office Press Note EE/HQ/Tech/43/2016-17/2623 dated 05.11.2016, it is further to inform that two DG sets out of three, damaged in fire accident at 20 MW IPP Suryachakra Power Plant, Bambooflat on 05.11.2016, have been salvaged an put in operation. The revival of Unit No. 3 of IPP Power Plant will take a longer period. The collective generation during evening peak hours from all the power plants will be just sufficient to meet the peak demand.
However, if required and subject to availability of generation, rotational load shedding of 45 minutes will be carried out in Port Blair and South Andaman area once in three days.
