Port Blair, Nov 3: An awareness programme on Ill effects of drug abuse and Alcoholism was organized by the Directorate of Social Welfare in association with Gram Panchayat Mannarghat at Community Hall Malapuram on Thursday. More than 125 villagers attended the awareness programme. Mr A.K Biswas, Probation Officer and Mr Subash Mandal from Tata Institute of Social Science spoke on the occasion. The Pradhan Gram Panchayat Mannarghat, Mr O. Bashir expressed gratitude to the administration for conducting the programme for the benefit of villagers under Mannarghat Gram Panchayat.
