Port Blair, Oct 31: In accordance with Rule 67 (General Purpose Rating) of A&N Islands IV Rules 2016, ‘Capsule Course for G.P. Rating’ for existing Deck/Engine Hand is schedule to be conducted at DBRAIT, Port Blair. All willing candidates, who fulfill the following eligibility criteria and have not undergone Capsule Course for enlistment of G.P. Rating may apply to I.V. Cell, Port Management Board, Phoenix Bay, Port Blair before 10th November, 2016 for assessment along with following documents. The candidates must have to write their mobile No. on their applications and submit documents relating to age proof, proof of qualification and certificate of Proficiency as specified in items ‘d’ of the eligibility criteria.
The candidates should be a citizen of India, Not less than 18 years of age, Passed minimum 8th class, completed minimum two years as assistant Deck/Engine Hand on an Inland Vessel and have obtained Certificate of Proficiency from a Master Class 1/2/3 for Deck Hand or from Engineer/Engine Driver Class 1/2 for Engine Hand under whom he has completed six months of training as assistant deck/engine hand. Candidates not having required experience (as specified under point no. ‘d’ above) shall not be considered for this course.
