Port Blair, Oct 31: Acting swiftly upon an information received from general public, PCR vehicle spotted two private cars bearing registration No. AN-01-K-3973 (Tata Indigo) & AN-01-F-1916 (Swift Dezire) in the evening on 27/10/2016 at New Pahargaon near Sapna Theater and recovered a large haul of IMFL bottles i.e 342 Nos. of 750 ml & 48 Nos. of 180 ML IMFL bottles which were being illegally transported. In this connection, two persons namely (1) Arun Prasad (25 yrs) Pvt. driver R/o Nayasehar and (2) Selvendran (25 yrs) R/o Nayasehar were arrested by registering a case u/s 32 Regulation of 1876 at PS Pahargaon.
The general public have been requested to pass on any credible information pertaining to drug peddling/sale of illicit liquor or any other illegal activities on the following telephone No. 232400, 232232, 250525, 232405, 233077 & 100. The identity of the informer will be kept secret.
