Port Blair, Oct 27: The Chairman, Municipal Council, Mr B. Eswar Rao laid the foundation stone for construction of New Black Top Road at Brookshabad, Ward No.22 on Thursday. Mr Yashpal Garg, Secretary, PBMC, Mr NK Udaya Kumar, Senior Vice Chairman, Mr Dharmendra Narayan, Junior Vice Chairman, Smt Vaishali Rani Dayal, Ward Councillor, Councillor Ward no. 8, Mr K Ganeshan were also present on the occasion.
In his address, Mr Rao said that the Port Blair Municipal Council is committed to providing the basic amenities to the urban populace. He further exhorted that the Council is working in full fledge for providing better civic services.
Welcoming the gathering, the Ward Councillor, Smt Vaishali Rani Dayal said that after completion of construction of the black top road measuring 750 mtr, the residents of the area will be relieved of the problems being faced particularly during the rainy season.
