Port Blair, Oct 25: On receipt of information from general public and PRI members from Diglipur Islands regarding death of few persons continuously while treatment at CHC Diglipur during the month of September and October, 2016 due to medical negligence, Shri Bishnu Pada Ray, Member of Parliament, A&N Islands has immediately taken up the matter with the Lt. Governor today and appraised the situation regarding non availability of proper medical facilities and negligence of doctors while on duty.
The Lt. Governor after hearing the matter has assured the Member of Parliament for taking appropriate action against the Doctors after making an enquiry and will fix responsibilities.
