Rangat, Oct 23: The Rangat unit of Andaman and Nicobar Police has arrested a hawker for allegedly molesting a lady of Nimbutala, Rangat.
As per reports on Friday last, the accused hawker, Deepak Kumar Bepari, a resident of Billyground, visited the house of the woman to sell clothes but seeing that no one is at the home, the accused allegedly tried to take advantage of her and molest her.
Seeing the lady very skinny, the accused reportedly told her that he knows black-magic and he can help her to gain health.
The Hawker then asked for water and when the lady when inside the house, the hawker followed him.
Luckily one of the relatives of the lady reached the spot and seeing her, the accused reportedly escaped from from the house.
As soon as the matter was reported to the Rangat Police, taking immediate steps in this regard the team of Rangat Police conducted a search for the accused and arrested him. The accused has also been sent to the Judicial remand, it is learnt.
