Port Blair, Oct 19: Aimed at upgrading the skills of south Andaman based coir artisans, the Yuvasakthi in coordination with the Coir Board, Ministry of MSME, Government of India has flagged off a two month long training programme on coir handicrafts from the month of October 2016 onwards.
The training has been simultaneously inducted at three venues by drawing 20 artisans each from South Point, Calicut, and Neil Island respectively. During this period, they will be exposed to nuances of coir handicrafts on jewelry and ornament making.
