Port Blair, Oct 13: An extended Central Executive Committee meeting of Non-Gazetted Govt. Officers’ Association, A & N Islands was held on 08th October, 2016 in which it has been decided to organise territory-wide campaign and agitation programme against the totally negative and indifferent attitude of Central Government on various genuine demands of the employees. The meeting expressed grave concern on non-implementation of the assurance given by the Group of Ministers to National Joint Council of Action (NJCA) on 30th June, 2016. The Central Government has not constituted the High Level Committee to review minimum wage and fitment formula till date. The Government is dilly-dallying on various demands of Allowances also.
The Confederation of Central Govt. Employees & Workers has called for a 04 phased agitation programme for the settlement of various demands of Central Government Employees. The nationwide protest will begin with Mass Demonstrations on 20th October, 2016. The Non-Gazetted Govt. Officers’ Association has decided to organise a Mass Demonstration at Port Blair in front of Secretariat Main Gate on 20th October, 2016. The Non-Gazetted Govt. Officers’ Association appealed all Central Government Employees to participate in the campaign and agitational programmes. Shri P.Sayapal, President, Shri T.S.Sreekumar, General Secretary, Shri S.N.MIshra, Vice President, Shri R.Rajenrdan, Asst. General Secretary, Shri S.L.Vinjit, Secretary, South Andaman Teachers’ Branch etc. addressed the meeting.
