Port Blair, Oct 06: Yet another Crocodile attack has been reported from Shanti Pur, Dongi Ghat area of Kadamtala.
According to reports, in the said crocodile attack a 56 year old resident of Kadamtala has sustained serious injuries, who was later shifted to PHC Kadamtala.
It has been learnt that the victim, Mr. Hemant Das was attacked by crocodile when he was returning to the land after emptying water from a dinghy for fishing.
The crocodile first grabbed his right leg and then his hands. Mr. Hemant Das, who had knowledge about crocodile managed to hit the eyes of the crocodile, because of while the crocodile escaped from the place. However, in this deadly fight with crocodile, Mr. Hemant Das suffered fractures on one hand. His condition is better now but as per details, he will be shifted to Port Blair tomorrow.
