BJP’s Andaman Bandh Today

Port Blair, May 30: The BJP’s has called Andaman Bandh Tomorrow against the steep hike in petrol prices. Meanwhile Andaman and Nicobar Police has made all necessary arrangements to ensure that the Bandh remain peaceful.
“As far as democratic rights are concerned we have no problem but we will not allow forcible closure of shops and market places. We will give protection to shop owners who would desire to keep their shops open,” Mr. SBS Tyagi, the Superintendent of Police of South Andaman told Andaman Sheekha today.
He said that the Police Department has taken all precautionary measure.
“We are deploying extra force and asked all SHOs to remain mobile. In sensitive and crowded places we are deploying extra police forces. We will not allow anyone to take law in hand,” the SP added.
