Port Blair, Sept 28: Continuing with the special drive to check the operation of Bars in the South Andaman, an inspection team of District Administration inspected thirteen Bars operating in and around Junglighat, Bathu Basthi, Garacharma and Austinabad surrounding areas on Tuesday and detected gross violations by the Bar Owners in not complying with terms & Conditions/ guidelines prescribed for Bar Licence holders.
Licence of all the thirteen Bar Owners have been suspended and they have been asked to Show cause as to why their Bar Licenses should not be cancelled for the foresaid violations of terms & conditions of guidelines prescribed for such Licenses. Names of the Bars whose Licenses have been suspended are M/s RD International Junglighat, Astha Hotel M.G Road Behind Junglighat Petrol Pump, Hotel Islands Cove 219 M.G. Road Junglighat, Anbu Bar & Restaurant, Sher-E-Punjab Bathu Basti, Shiva Bar & Restaurant, Garacharma, Hotel Sree Karpagam Bathu Basti, Kerala Bhavan, Amber Bar & Restaurant, Hotel Blue Bird Next, Golden Bar & Restaurant, Hotel SL International and Hotel Sun Rise Austinabad.
All the Bar owners operating in South Andaman District have been cautioned to strictly follow the terms and conditions of guidelines prescribed for Bar Licenses and refrain from indulging in unauthorized practices which may further disturb public tranquility, otherwise strict action as prescribed under the rules shall be taken. Anybody who observes such violations by Bar Owner may report the same to District Administration Control Room on Ph. No. 238881.
