Port Blair, Sept 27: The Police Training School, Prothrapur organized a two-day training programme on ‘First Aid Techniques’ in collaboration with ANIIMS and DHS, A&N Islands recently to provide assistance and pre-hospital care in case of casualties, under the supervision of Smti Geeta Rani Verma, Principal, PTS. The course was inaugurated by Mr Kishore Kumar, Vice Principal, PTS. He emphasized on the objectives of the course and stressed on the need to generate awareness about the importance of first aid techniques for Police personnel.
Dr. Sanjay Kumar, Assistant Professor, ANIIMS and Dr. Narayan Raja Ram Takkaker, Assistant Professor, ANIIMS delivered lectures on various techniques on First Aid with demonstration. Altogether, 36 Police personnel from the various Police Stations and units participated in the training.
